My Cancerversary and Yoplait / Komen Breast Cancer Cause GIVEAWAY

As you probably know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer recently. A few days ago was a milestone for me. September 25, 2010 was my cancerversary (one year since cancer diagnosis). At the age of 31, it was quite a surprise to get breast cancer. It was a tough year for my family and I, but we got through it and know I’d like to help as many people as possible.
Here is a video I made talking about what it’s like being a 1 year survivor and what I have learned.
Coincidentally, it happens to be breast cancer awareness month.
There are many great companies and organizations raising money and getting the word out about breast cancer.
Yoplait Yogurt Cups
Be on the lookout for specially-marked pink lids on Yoplait yogurt cups through Yoplait’s Save Lids to Save Lives campaign. The lids can be found on Original, Light, Thick & Creamy, Light Thick & Creamy, Whips!, Yoplait Delights, Yoplait Greek and select specially-marked packages of large size Yoplait yogurts and Yoplait Frozen Smoothies.
Until December 31, 2010, for every pink lid saved and sent in Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Yoplait has raised more than $25 million for the breast cancer cause.
Yoplait, along with Dr. Kristi Funk (celebrity breast cancer surgeon) and Nancy Brinker (founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure)are encouraging everyone to save their pink lids and join the fight against breast cancer.
Don’t forget to visit Facebook.com/YoplaitPledge, where you can find fun and easy tools to pass on. While you’re there, make sure to “Like†the page and take a minute to share your photos of the pink lids you’ve collected. Get your friends involved in the cause by sending them a virtual Save Lids to Save Lives gift! For every lid gift sent by December 31, 2010, Yoplait will donate $1.00 to Susan G.
