Extended Stay America for Family Friendly and Pet Friendly Travel

We travel a lot as a family. We love road trips as well as airline travel to visit friends, family, and new locations. Since we usually travel as a family, we look for places to stay with plenty of space and amenities. In addition, our pets are our family, so when possible, we love to bring our dog along on vacations as well. Sometimes we stay at short-term house rentals while other times at hotels with or without suites. Because of this, we have experienced a wide range of travel accommodations.
Extended Stay America Review
We had a trip planned to Dallas to see the Queen & Adam Lambert concert. So, Extended Stay America offered us a chance to try out one of their locations in Dallas area.
After a long day and driving about 3.5 hours, we arrived at the Extended Stay America Dallas on Frankford Rd. First, I checked in at the front desk. The woman working there was very nice and quickly went over the amenities with me. When we arrived at our suite (2 bedroom suite, 2 queen beds and sofa sleeper) we were impressed with the size. We had plenty of space for two adults and two kids. Having two separate bedrooms and bathrooms was wonderful.
The suite also had a large living space along with kitchen that included a full size fridge, microwave, and stovetop. We usually travel with food and drinks, so we enjoyed having a nice large refrigerator to keep our drinks and food cold.
The hotel grounds included a pool, that the kids swam in one afternoon. There were also various places for socializing. We saw a few people walking the dogs in and around the hotel.
In the mornings, the hotel offers free grab-and-go breakfast. The first morning, we each had muffins and drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate). It was nothing fancy, but just what we needed to get through the morning until it was lunch time.
Another great perk, are the work-friendly suites. Since both my husband and I work for ourselves, we usually have to do some work on the road. Our suite had a desk in both rooms and two additional desks in the living area. We had plenty of workspace. In fact, my husband was even able to have a meeting from our bedroom.
Extended Stay America for Pets
As I have mentioned before, we are animal lovers. We love our pets as though they are family members. I was happy to read that Extended Stay America is the official hotel of the Petfinder® Foundation. We actually used Petfinder to find Lizzy at the shelter 14 years ago!
Extended Stay America understands how important pets are, so they welcome your dogs and cats too. Each of their 600+ hotels has pet-friendly rooms so that the whole family can stay together.
Overall, we had a great visit at Extended Stay. We would definitely consider staying there again for kid-friendly and pet-friendly travel.
If you are interested in booking a suite, check out the Extended Stay America website to get room rates and availability.
Thanks, Extended Stay America!
