There are several ways to make money on a blog and one of them is with sponsored posts.
But, how do influencers get paid to post to social media or their blog?
There are a few different ways to work with brands to get sponsored post campaigns, but one way involves platforms where you can apply to different opportunities.
How to Apply to Sponsored Campaigns
First, go to the different platforms and create an account. Most of them require you to connect your social media accounts and Google Analytics. Do so with caution, especially if you are not familiar with the site. You don’t want to give an unknown third party access to your accounts.
When you apply to campaigns, you will answer anywhere from 1-10 or so questions. Questions range from your audience demographics, to why you think you would be a good fit for the campaign. Take time to answer the questions.
When you answer the questions about why you would be a good fit, be sure to show them how you helping them solve a problem. You can even give examples of ways you have helped other brands in the past.
Here’s an example template for applying to sponsored campaigns.
I’m a _____ and ____ that enjoys/struggles with _____. I’m a strong believer in _______ and sharing that with my loyal and engaged audience. (brand) would be a great fit because ________my audience is made up of (this demographic) looking to ______. I’m confident that I could come up with beautiful/fun/engaging content to help you promote your business. One of my ideas is to show how I ______ with (brand) to ________.
Paid Campaign Platforms I Have Personally Used
How Much Do They Pay You?
The payment depends on the campaign and sometimes the amount of followers and traffic you have. Usually, when you apply to a campaign, you will see the compensation amount. Although sometimes, you enter your rate during the application process.
Here is an example posting of a brand looking for influencers to post sponsored content. Notice, it lists the compensation and requirements of the campaign. There are more details that I did not include in the screenshot, but this will give you an idea of what these posts look like.
Here is an example of an application form.
Is It Worth It Your Time?
Applying to these campaigns can be very time consuming. Yes, it’s worth your time if you are new or do not have any other sponsored campaigns lined up.
